Unframed rolled canvas orders will arrive rolled inside a protective tube with an extra 1.5" white canvas on all sides so you can easily frame it locally.

La Visitatión is an oil on wood that tells the story of when Mary, pregnant of Jesus Christ, paid a visit to her cousin Elizabeth. Her cousin was also pregnant, and both were very close to having their babies.
The painting is very emotional, and the layout is incredibly well designed. The characters are all connected. The eye is guided from the first person on the left, Elizabeth’s husband, to down the stairs from every single person in the painting up to Joseph, that is on the bottom right getting into the picture while pulling the donkey. Isabel’s husband, Zacharias, is an old man with a long beard and hair, who is coming down the staircase with the assistance of a young boy. Zacharias is dressed in long dark robes, and his gestures indicate that he is struggling to go down these stairs. The young boy offers him the shoulder, and with a solemn look, he stares into the distance. He could be a servant of the house.
Right next to them, Mary and Elizabeth hug each other. Elizabeth was pregnant with John the Baptist and is an older woman. Her head is covered by a light mantle, and she looks into the sky. Her vests are red, and she has some leather belts and details strapped onto her clothing. Mary also has her head covered, by a white and red kind of turban. Her clothes are light green. She has a youthful, fresh look on her face. Her freshness contrasts with Elizabeth’s elderly looks. Behind her, a servant removes the green mantle from Mary’s head. The servant is dressed in ethnic, heavily ornamented clothes and she is barefoot.
Joseph hasn’t come upstairs yet. He and the donkey come from the city in the front door of the scape. He wears a dark hat and heavy robes. In front of the group, there is a small shaggy dog that looks like the companion of the family. The entire scene is framed by details of the scenery. On the left-hand side, there is a part of the construction, with large beautiful columns, some vegetation and even a peacock sitting by the entrance. On the left, the colors fade into darkness with shadows of a city behind them. Mary and Elizabeth are the focal points of light in the middle of the composition.
